What sets me apart from my colleagues? My wealth of practical experience.

On the one hand, it is the many years of management experience in various fields of responsibility in national and international large-scale plant construction projects. On the other hand, the fact that I have experienced most of the issues myself and have overcome and mastered some of them in most difficult conditions. These are practical experiences that nobody can take away from you. That’s where my personal motto comes from: “There’s always a solution!”.

I am also exceptionally good at forming a team that brings difficult projects to a successful conclusion.

My management style is characterized by a collaborative approach in which I act as both a coach and an advisor. I place great value on transparency and direct, open communication, which creates a challenging yet fair atmosphere. I see it as essential to develop solutions together with the team, whereby I am always prepared to take the lead if the situation requires it.

My behavior is characterized by the desire to always communicate on an equal footing with all parties involved, be it in the team, with shareholders or clients or when dealing with (project) employees.

In my day-to-day work, teamwork is the cornerstone of my approach, coupled with an open attitude towards change and a strong focus on solutions. I know how to get the best out of my team through negotiation skills and a coaching attitude, and I am confident in delegating tasks effectively. My actions are characterized by forward-looking planning and the pursuit of continuous improvement.

My working methods are based on a careful analysis of the economic situation and the skills of the workforce in order to move forward with targeted, individual ideas and clear objectives. Through structured work according to established processes or specific process guidelines, I strive not only to achieve short-term success, but also to bring about long-term positive change and fully exploit the organization’s potential.

What do I do outside of work? I manage a field field hockey club and am a player myself.

There are many parallels between sport and my job: The strategic understanding, quick thinking and action, the ability to work in a team, skill and precision as well as endurance and agility. That’s what I bring to sport and to my job.

Strategic understanding:
Just like a field field hockey player reads the game, a manager must be able to analyze business scenarios, identify opportunities and develop appropriate strategies.

Quick thinking:
A manager has to make decisions quickly and react agilely to market changes; they have to find solutions to unexpected problems quickly.

Team skills:
A manager must work effectively with their team, coordinate and promote different talents and create a positive team dynamic.

Skill and precision:
In management, this corresponds to the ability to deal skillfully with complex situations and to have a good sense of detail and the bigger picture. Accurate and purposeful action in the business world, be it in planning, strategy execution or communication, is crucial.

Athleticism and stamina, physical fitness and agility:
In management, this translates into energy and the ability to perform under pressure or during long working hours, equipped with mental flexibility and resilience.
